The Full Story
Homes with soul. Design that works.
I’m Kristine Krupa, a third-generation interior designer based in Colorado Springs. I create approachable, tactile homes with soul and character—spaces made to be lived in, with function at the heart of every decision.

Three generations. One enduring lesson.
My grandmother and mother built their interior design practice around a brick-and-mortar location in Chicago. From them, I learned that a home should serve the people who live in it.
My grandmother put it best: “Make the cake taste good first, then make it pretty.” I carry that lesson into every project. A beautiful room has to work for your daily life.
After they retired, I brought that family tradition to Colorado. I’ve run Kristine Krupa Interiors independently since 2022, building relationships with local vendors and builders who help bring considered designs to life.
Vision
My travels through Europe and intensive study of art and history in Spain and Austria shaped how I see proportion, materials, and the character that develops over time.
I’m drawn to approachable, touchable, lived-in rooms: durable materials, lasting quality, and details with personality. Homes need soul—not perfection.
Function comes first. If your home doesn’t work the way you need it to, beauty alone won’t make you happy. I begin with how you live, then bring warmth and character to that foundation.
